Biography

Andrea Santoro is born in 1983 in Lecce. His natural bent for music starts in 1996 when he begin djing house music with friends..

During these years Andrea discovers the various flavours of club music, from techno to deep house that he suddenly loves. He feels attraction for the nightlife and so he starts playing as a dj in several parties in clubs of his town. In the following years he approaches to the production of music releasing dancefloor addicted house tracks. His first work, produced with the collaboration of Loaded and Guido Nemola released on Street Vibes, is licensed in many countries and played by several djs around the world. This track gives him the opportuniy to be noticed and to start collaborations with other young producers. During these years Santorini grows artistically and tecnically, mixing down in his tracks old deep house influences with new minimal techno sounds. In 2007 starts the label “Recycle Records” with Guido Nemola and Luigi Scrimitore, in which they release minimal-house music (always celebrating the musical history of Chicago and Detroit). After spending several years producing in studio and playing in clubs, Santorini releases on many important record labels like Upon You, Bond Records, Glueckskind Schallplatten King Street, Ocean Dark, Italobusines..

His tracks have been played by a lot of very important djs like: Luciano, Karotte,

Afrilounge, Audiofly, Laurent Garnier, Marco Resmann, Dan Curtin Jeff Samuel,

Lauhaus, C Rock, Hot Chip, Steve Bug, Solomun, Barem, Kiki, Tom Clark, Florian

Meindl, Karotte, Anthony Collins, 3 Channels, Someone Else, Italoboyz, Miss Jools,

Mark Henning, Benno Blome, Bloody Mary.. and his popularity is growng day by day

thanks to the passion he fills inside his projects. Now 2010 will see Santorini coming out with releases on his own "Recycle Records", on “Upon You” again, on “Percusa” from Mannheim, on Fabio Giannelliʼs “District Raw”.. In his sets he mixes the minimal groove based sound with the atmospheres of deep house He played around Europe during these years and he bringed his sets in many clubs like for example: Arena Club (Berlin), D! Club (Lausanne), La Ruche (Lausanne), (Berlin), Gasoline (Milano), Mediterraneo (Lecce), Living (Maglie)..During his performances he can play as dj mixing with Traktor Scratch or as Live Act proposing his own productions with Ableton Live.
